    FIRE SAFETY FORM AND EMERGENCY FIRE PLAN
    (this must be completed by all hirers)

    Fire Action Notices
    Are displayed throughout the building and along with this document should be read, understood and complied with.

    Fire Alarm
    Is activated by a FIRE ALARM call point glass being broken - this operates throughout the building. Call points are located strategically around the building and are identified by the prescribed RED coloured signs. In case of fire, the hirer or appointed person must, from a safe location, telephone the Fire Service by dialling 999 to advise of the incident.

    Smoke Detectors
    Are provided within the building for added safety.

    Escape Routes
    Are GREEN coloured emergency signs placed to indicate the route for evacuation.
    THESE ROUTES MUST REMAIN CLEAR AT ALL TIMES.

    Assembly Point
    It is recommended that the car park at the front of the building is used as the assembly point.

    Fire Fighting Equipment
    Foam extinguishers are provided for general use (wood, paper and liquid) but should not be used on electrical fires. To use, spray the foam over the fire to the furthest point, moving the hose from side to side progressing to the base. Except in the case of liquid, these are not effective if the base of the fire is attacked.
    If in any doubt, DO NOT use the fire fighting equipment, evacuate the building and call the Fire Service.

    Completion of Evacuation
    Efforts should be made, as far as reasonably practicable, to ensure that the building has been evacuated.

    Maintenance
    Firefighting equipment, warning systems and emergency lighting are maintained and tested as required by current legislation.

    General
    All emergency equipment must be freely accessibly AT ALL TIMES. It must not be removed or used for anything other than its' intended purpose.

    Defects
    Please report any defects or issues to the Trustees ASAP.

    DESIGNATED FIRE MARSHALL
    I, the undersigned, am the DESIGNATED FIRE MARSHALL, responsible at all times for the compliance of the above fire plan in case of emergency, by all attendees, participants and staff at the event(s) as per the submitted booking form.

    I confirm that I have read, understood and will comply with the Emergency Fire Plan.
