Dance Fitness – try something new!

This fortnightly class in Stanhope Hall costs £4. Using a variety of styles and music, the dance sequences are low impact, medium walking pace and suitable for all ages with no previous experience needed. Alternative moves will also be demonstrated so that everyone can join in according to their own level of health and fitness. For this form of dancing, no partner, costume or equipment is necessary; just wear comfortable clothing and sensible footwear. You may also like to bring a bottle of water to drink as required. The leader of the session is a qualified dance teacher and exercise instructor with many years of experience in providing safe, beneficial dance fitness activity.

Research has proved that dancing is a great workout for the body and mind.

This form of exercise can:-

  • Help to reduce and manage weight by burning calories and toning muscles
  • Reduce high blood pressure and diabetes
  • Strengthen bones and muscles to reduce arthritis, strain and injury
